Sports & martial arts - 14th Impact
When you say Japan, you think martial arts, but generally we also forget that sports are not only that! During this 14th Impact, you had the chance to discover or rediscover some others!
As popular as ever, they teach you some serious life lessons in addition to letting you blow of some steam. And this year too, they were more than 10 disciplines to be represented during the festival!
Aikidô, karate, Nippon kenpô, ninjutsu, kendô or the always impressive kyûdo, which had its own shooting lane, were some of these represented sports and they were all reunited on fully dedicated area during this 14th Impact.
In-between demonstrations, competitions and initiation session, we can definitely say that the members had quite a lot on their plates. For 4 days, they moved on from activity to activity and teach the basics of their sports to those who were willing to try. All this in a very friendly and casual atmosphere.
Baseball or yakyû
The Japanese national sport was here this year again to show you how to handle a bat, and let’s be honest, you were quite a lot to try! The experts, here to teach you everything you need didn’t have a single minute to breath in-between the different initiation sessions focusing on throwing and batting in the batting center.
Wrestling or proresu
After the Triple Tails.S duet last year, this year, the built of the wrestlers was more… imposing! Among these fighters, some were coming from Japan exclusively for the festival and fought with fierce determination 4 days in a row!
With an everlasting enthusiasm, the wrestlers were up for solo and tag matches supervised by professional referees and almost made the ring crumble under the sheer strength of their blows!
Some even took the time to play the photo and signing session game. And for the bravest ones, initiations were also put in place during the whole festival.
