Cosplay is all around - 13th Impact

The main stage at Japan Expo is the biggest cosplay stage in Europe: let’s say that cosplayers make the best of it to offer you shows worthy of this name!

European Cosplay Gathering

10 countries, 33 cosplayers, more than 15,000 people in the audience: the European Cosplay Gathering finals brought together the best European cosplayers and the fans of the discipline. Between breathtaking costumes and blazing performances, the representatives of Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, UK, and Switzerland all surpassed themselves for their countries.

Their trip to France started with a tour of Paris in the Festival Party Tour bus!

At the end of the finals, the French group and the German solo won the contest: let’s congratulate once more Floria N. and Vanina N. (Telos and Kos-Mos from Xenosaga), and Annabell H. (Saber from Fate/Stay Night).

Then, the European Cosplay Gathering season 3 started, still on the main stage and with cosplayers who were all very excited at the idea of representing France in the next finals in 2013. For this new season, another country is joining the competition: Poland.

The selection tour of Europe thus started at Japan Expo with the French ones, won by Océane S. (solo) as the Witch in Diablo 3, and Jérôme L. and Catherine L. (group) in costumes from Zangeki no Reginleiv.

Cosplay Show

This year as usual, cosplay shone on the main stage with daily shows, among which two Cosplay Shows. Performances followed one another, leaving the main stage audience enjoy the cosplayers’ talent and creativity.

Free cosplay

The cosplay phenomenon is not only for the impressive cosplayers who parade on the main stage and brings together amateur cosplayers and all those who just want to admire their costumes. Beyond the main stage, Cosplay invades the whole festival and makes the alleys look like some carnival where hundreds of manga, video game and anime characters walk around freely.

For those who want to go on stage without the pressure of facing the best of the best, just for fun, the cosplay stage is the ideal place!
