Get ready for the festival

Some advice for the attendees to experience a stressless festival!

How to go to Japan Expo

Japan Expo takes place at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.

The festival has an exceptional transportation service thanks to a dedicated RER train station, 25 minutes from the center of Paris and 10 minutes away from the Charles de Gaulle airport and train station, as well as a taxi station.

How to get in

At the Esplanade, ticket holders and people without tickets are split into 3 distinct lines.

Every day, one hour before the official opening time, ticket holders are directed to the entrance (this is not for Premium Ticket owners). We do not separate people who purchased their ticket from pre-sale offices from those who simply bought their ticket at the festival a day or two before. Please, make sure you keep your ticket at hand to save time.

People without tickets are sent to the exhibition hall to purchase their tickets at the registers at 10.00 am.

and how to buy your ticket

Respect the times!! It’s no use coming at 6.00 am and waiting for several hours!

Registers and means of payment

For cash: please note that banknotes above €50 are not accepted. Before you reach the registers and in order to save time, please make sure you have the exact change.

For any check, an ID will always be required. To save time, please have it ready.

Payments with credit cards are accepted only at specified registers.

ATMs

2 ATMs are available: one at the entrance of Hall 6, one at the entrance of Hall 5 in the gallery.

If you get out, you won’t be allowed to get back in, so make sure you have enough cash before entering the festival!!

More generally, please bring enough cash or checks because very few exhibitors accept credit cards and ATMs are very likely to be crowded. Anticipating the cash need means no need to worry about it during the festival!

Eating

There are several restaurants at Japan Expo. Yet you should know that they are often crowded and the lines are sometimes long.

You can also bring your own food.

Don't forget to take water and to drink regularly as it's very hot, both in waiting lines and inside the festival!

Checkroom

There are checkrooms, run by the exhibition center, where you can leave your personal belongings.

Cosplay changing rooms

For Cosplayers, changing rooms are available:

  • dedicated changing rooms for those who parade for the Cosplay contests
  • changing rooms for free Cosplayers
