SUDA Goichi, better known as SUDA 51, is a world famous game designer and scriptwriter. Thanks to his unique style of storytelling, he’s been called a video game “auteur” by many critics and fans.

Since founding Grasshopper Manufacture in 1998, SUDA 51 and his band of video game punks have unleashed a string of cult and commercial hits on an unsuspecting gaming world. The pinnacle of his “punk’s not dead” style of video game craftsmanship is the fourth wall shattering No More Heroes for Nintendo Wii. No More Heroes received numerous awards and went on to spawn several ports to other consoles and a sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.

SUDA 51’s latest project is Shadows of the Damned, a video game tribute to B-movie horror films of the 70s and 80s. SUDA 51 calls Shadows of the Damned a “road trip through Hell” and mentions films by Sam RAIMI, Jim JARMUSCH, and Robert RODRIGUEZ as influences. Shadows of the Damned is published by EA through their EA Partners label and will be available in stores on June 24th all over Europe. The music of the game is composed by Akira YAMAOKA.
