Biography

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu made her debut as she was still in high school: she works as a model for Aomoji Kei magazines, specialized in Harajuku fashion. After featuring on the cover of many magazines, she soon became the most popular model in Aomoji Kei and keeps on getting more and more fans in Japan.

She also has a fashion blog on which she shows slightly excentric clothes: mixing baby doll costumes and strange accessories, her style is quite unusual, which makes her a real fashion phenomenon. Inspired by the world of music and the offbeat styles of world pop stars such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or Gwen Stefani, or Tim Burton’s movies, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has become an icon for fashionistas.

In August 2011, she released a mini-album called Moshi Moshi Harajuku (Warner Music Japan). It is sold in 23 countries, confirming the beginning of her worldwide career. The video clip of her most popular song, PONPONPON, has been seen over 25 million times on Youtube. Thanks to an ever-growing world success, promotes Harajuku’s fashion and endless creativity.
