Activities everywhere - 12th Impact

Japan Expo also offers hundreds of activities for those who want to have fun, with friends or family, while enjoying Japanese culture and entertainment!! And the 12th Impact had loads of associations, areas and booths which were just waiting for you!

Quizzes, games & Karaoke

You love quizzes and other games, and of course Karaoke, and we know many among you always join the associations who organize them!! BulleJapon, KajiaN, Tengumi, Asian’EFREI, Sohei, Forum Thalie & Brigade SOS Francophone and Kaerizaki met you in 2011. On their booths and in the activity and the Karaoke rooms, activities were in full swing. On top of having fun, you also won loads of gifts!!

ENGI Café proposed a haunted house in the Japanese style and many among you really felt like getting scared!

The kids area

The youngest could also enjoy Japanese culture and had a dedicated area!! The publisher nobi nobi !, TMS and Unesco organized activities and cartoons showings.

The children of the festival took part in Origami workshops, made Koinobori (sort of paper flags in the shape of a carp, a symbol of children’s day in Japan), played magnetic darts, enjoyed coloring or attended Kamishibai readings of nobi nobi ! books. Cartoons were showed such as MameUshi, Mini MooMoo, Shizuku or Hamtaro.

Unesco made them take part in the Kizuna project by writing hope messages to children who have been victims of the March 11 events in Japan.

Anime and film showings

In the video room, showings followed on! Animation had pride of honor with several preview. Many among you discovered delightfully and in exclusivity the latest episode of the Fullmetal Alchemist saga, L’Étoile de Milos.

The 15th anniversary of Escaflowne has also been celebrated with a showing. You also enjoyed Pandora Hearts, Naruto Shippuden - The Lost Tower, K-on, Shangri-La, Tiger & Bunny, and also Drama.

Of course, Japan Expo also proposed video game activities, martial art initiations and many opportunities to discover traditional Japanese culture yourself. More about this on the related report pages!
