Fashion is a whole part of Japanese culture and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the Young Designers at Japan Expo !

For years now, fashion has been under the spotlights at Japan Expo. Young Designers Fashion Shows always meet success. Participants are European artists, deeply influenced by their passion for Japan: gothic-lolita, Manga or more casual clothing.
Young designers exhibit their creations in the area known as the Young Designers' Village and present their exceptional and latest pieces during the Young Designers Fashion Show, which are performed on the festival's Main Stage.
Get ready to be astonished by the originality and the talent of these artists!!!

Fleurs d'Ascenseur
Between tradition and modernity, Fleurs d’Ascenseur gives a makeover to Asia and brings it back into fashion. Updated Kimono, wa-style and lolita, discover clothes and accessories which will make you a modern times Geisha. These unique and fashionable pieces of clothing are hand-made by the designer.

Freaky Pink
Freaky Pink is a brand about sexy but funny clothes and accessories, inspired by Manga, pin-ups and rock’n’roll. All items are hand-crafted and fully respect animal protection (no leather, no fur). The jewelry presented during the show is kindly provided by the brand Je veux les mêmes.

Jeff Dark Art at Harajuku's Fan's booth
Jeff is an artist; he paints, he sews, and sometimes he does both. Since 1999, he creates simple but yet original clothes, inspired by fashion trends from the 19th century to contemporary. His clothes are pieces of art in themselves which always bear a story. Meet some of his creations at the Parisian select shop Harajuku.

Lan & Zarzartab
Lan & Zarzartab are two fashion designers who work on Asian fashion their way. This year they took inspiration from Thailand and Japan for a blooming and colorful show!

ManuFacta
ManuFacta is Caroline and Véronique, both semstresses' daughters and childhood friends. Belonging to the "hand-made" generation and linked by the sama passion for fashion, they wished to create clothes mixing original patterns and noble materials, enriched by the elegance of several universes. A spicy, spiritual and colorful style qui relies on a simple principle: no zip, 3 sizes, for any type of figure.

Ophélie Thévin is a clothes and accessories designer. She gets her inspirations from Asia and historical outfits. Tender and fantastic, unique and romantic, miKu-Collection will be at Japan Expo and will present this year’s collection along with the designer What a mess. His brand is a melting pot of different ages and cultures; a touch of romantism, a hint of retro, originality and innovation, these are jewels and accessories from What a mess!

My Oppa creates sweet, sour and colorful jewels, for all the gourmet afficionados. She also designs clothes and accessories in various styles: Kawai, Sweet Lolita, Gothic Lolita, Emo, Steampunk… This year’s show will bring to you creations inspired fantastic and magical “Alice”, the My Oppa way.

Nanapaprika
A feminine touch, a pinch of elegance, a drop of nostalgia, wrap it all in noble materials, silk or Calais lacer, and you get the essence Nanapaprika. This young 100 % French brand is a subtle meeting between ancient trends and the lolita aesthetic.

TrüC & Industribal
TrüC is a clothe and accessory brand inspired by street arts and alternative movements. Turned toward Asia and especially Japan, TrüC is also inspired by Manga, Geisha, Kimono and Obi with Japanese patterns. Born from the opposition between the cold of Western societies and the warmth of Oriental cultures, TrüC likes to play contradictions and paradoxes.

Yokai Création
At a crossroad between Japanese traditions and New Europe, mixing Kimono shapes and patterns and prêt-à-porter’s simplicity. Femininity seen through the eyes of a young French designer. She plays with volumes as well as colors and patterns. Yokai highlights your body with skirts and dresses, eases your movements with ample sizes and soft material.
