World Cyber Games: French finals

The French finals of the World Cyber Games, the biggest event dedicated to video game competition, takes place at Japan Expo!

Created in 2000 and supported since the beginning by leading international actors in new technologies such as Samsung, the World Cyber Games event, is the most important and most prestigious competition dedicated to video games. With 70 nationalities represented, it has become the global meeting of the gaming community.

On the principle of the Olympic Games, each country holds a qualifying event in order to designate the delegation that will represent its flag. The top 100 players from all over France will compete for two days at Japan Expo with three games: Counter-Strike 1.6, Starcraft 2 and League of Legends.

The winners will face the other countries in the world finals which settle the 700 qualified players.
Historically held in Korea, the finals change country every year. In 2010 Los Angeles received the event. In 2011, the finals will take place in Busan, South Korea.
