It is often played during temple or traditional celebrations.

The rich and delicate sounds of Wakaido come from the posture and the dynamic of the player's body.

Discover Japanese drums during a concert by the Wadaiko MAKOTO troupe lead by Mariko KUBOTA SALLANDRE, a Wadaiko player for over 15 years. Mariko, after playing in the Tokyo-Oedo-Sukeroku-Taiko orchestra, arrived in France in 2000.
