Presentation
Vovinam Viêt Vo Dao is the creation of a people who has struggled history-wide to define and preserve its identity.
Since it has been founded in 2879 B.C. by Emperor Hung Vuong, it has matured slowly and painfully to become a Martial Art at the crossroad between tradition and modernity.

Important note about the words Viêt Vo Dao: it must be only linked to the Vovinam style. When they created the first Vietnamese Martial Arts in 1973, the founders got authorized by the Patriarch Le Sang to regroup all Vietnamese fighting styles under the name Viêt vo Dao. Since then, in France, this name has been used by all styles. However in Vietnam, Viêt Vo Dao is strictly dedicated to the Vovinam style.
