Presentation

Horimyo learned Mendhi, art of henna tattoo, in Los Angeles in 1988. Back in Japan, he works as a Mendhi artist in events, for example for Dior. From 1999, stars ask him for Mendhi tattoos and he starts organizing events with other artists, mixing tattoo, piercing, Mendhi and music.

In 1999, he started studying with a master of traditional Japanese tattoo and in 2003 becomes a traditional tattoo artist as Horimyo.

He launched his own clothing brand in 2004, and goes on making bodypaint and tattoo performances. The collaboration of Horimyo with photographer Will Robb was featured in foreign magazines.

Horimyo is regularly invited during tattoo conventions, in Japan, Europe or USA. During the British convention Skin Deep-U.K., he presented the Japanese traditional techniques Sou-Tebori, on stage.
