When Manga comes to life…
R-mum is a webseries broadcast on the internet for almost 3 years and on Kaze TV since October 2011. The aim is to reveal Manga in a particular way. For this, Manga no Sama who is an exceptional narrator, take the spectators inside a Manga. Black and white, panels, speech bubbles, framework, onomatopoeia… everything is in this series halfway between live action and animation.

La Bande Animée likes variety, counting Manga classics like City Hunter, Captain Tsubasa or Dragon Ball, and contemporary Manga as well like Death Note, Nana or Fullmetal Alchemist. Another aim is to reveal forgotten Manga like Maison Ikkoku, Yu Yu hakusho, Ashita no Joe or Quartier Lointain. Always being faithful to the original work, even though a few liberties are taken!

Activities at Japan Expo

 

At Japan Expo, La Bande Animée will show you R-mum episodes making a parallel between the original Manga and the R-mum production.
You will be able to become an actor and participate in shooting sessions of R-mum and leave with your Manga page with yourself as a hero!
A contest of One Piece battles and creation of “wanted” posters will also take place on our booth.

Finally, you will discover Anime Games, another project of the association which aims at revealing video games adapted from Anime thanks to tests realized by japanimation experts! Chosen adaptations have a direct link with Japan Expo guests!
Members from Raconte-moi un manga will give signing sessions on Kaze and Badgeek.fr booths and a conference: don’t miss them!

At last, the highpoint of our coming, the exclusive broadcast of episodes 21 and 22 for the first time at Japan Expo!

Episode 21 will be a tribute to Naoki URASAWA with a R-mum on 20^th Century Boys!

Episode 22 will be our great finale of the year with the adaptation of the crazy Manga by ODA: One Piece!
