Presentation

R-mum is a webseries which shows Manga in a quite particular way… Manga no sama, an outstanding narrator, invites the audience inside the frames of Manga! Black and white, frame cutting, speech balloons, onomatopoeia… all the elements are brought together in this series set midway between live movie and animation.

This animated series is varied, telling both Manga classics such as City Hunter, Captain Tsubasa or Hokuto no ken, but also contemporary works such as Death Note or GTO.

The aim is to make people discover forgotten or less famous Manga like Highschool! Kimengumi, Maison Ikkoku, Yu Yu hakusho or Distant Neighborhood, while remaining faithful to the original work… which doesn’t prevent originality!

One thing leading to another, the webseries, which started with pretty much nothing, kept on getting better to achieve a good level in rhythm, quality and direction, each episode trying to be better than the previous one.
