Published on 25/05/2012 - Edition 2012

With the presence of Naoki URASAWA as Manga guest of honor, Japan Expo is welcoming one of the greatest names of Seinen: a perfect opportunity to go back over his work through an exhibition!

The exhibition is taking you
to the heart of Naoki URASAWA’s work

The exhibition

To highlight the work of its Manga guest of honor, Japan Expo is dedicating an exhibition to Naoki URASAWA.

It allows you to explore the world of one of the greatest masters of Seinen today. Loved by the public as well as the critics, Naoki URASAWA’s work is universal, because of the diversity of where his stories are set (Europe, Japan…), of his characters’ psychological depth and of the complexity of his stories. His work is characterized by dark scripts and his heroes’ humanity.

Monster - 20th Century Boys - Pluto

The exhibition shows his greatest works such as Monster, 20th Century Boys or Pluto, which made him famous worldwide. It also allows to discover rare works, unpublished in France such as Yawara ! or Master  Keaton, which contributed to launching his career. It also presents more personal works which show the artist in a different way, with themes such as childhood or rock music, his first passion.

For the first time in France, Japan Expo brings together the greatest masterpieces by Naoki URASAWA, for the oldest to the most recent, and pays a tribute to the career of one of the greatest Mangaka of our times.

Meet Naoki URASAWA for a conference and signings
