After the success of the first two seasons, the Koko to Asoko solidarity art contest, “here and there” in Japanese, is back for the third time!

Orgalized by Walking Art, in partnership with Japan Expo, this contest welcomes any artist between 15 and 28, whether amateurs or future professionals.

Contest

From Feb. 20 to May 20, 2014, entrants are invited to be creative, following the theme: “From iron to flesh”. You have to tackle the subject of humanity and robotics, new technologies.

A jury, made of Vanessa RAU (gallery owner specialized in vintage and contemporary Japan), Pika Edition, Florent CHAVOUET (author of Tokyo Sanpo & Manabe Shima), Sophie CAVALIERO (author of Nouvelle Garde de l’Art Contemporain Japonais), Antoine BERTRAND (artist), Isan Manga, Anti (artist) and Jessy Doudou’Style (artist) will choose 16 works exhibited at Japan Expo from July 2 to 6, 2014. The one getting the most votes from the jury will get a special jury prize.

The attendees are invited to vote during the festival for their favorite work, on top of the jury’s vote, to choose the three winners of the contest.

Read the rules and register.
