A well-being art

Shiatsu is an art of well-being in its widest and most noble meaning. It comes from Chinese massage techniques and brings relaxation and comfort. From this point of view, it is a very efficient tool and more and more people have recourse to Shiatsu.

A health practice

© Institut français de Shiatsu Shiatsu is also and above all a health practice. Considered as an official medicine in Japan, Shiatsu aims at restoring in the human body the harmony of vital flows which are called “energies”. Thus it is an amazing health practice. It does not deal with symptoms: Shiatsu rather maintains the healthy state.

Lines and points on which Shiatsu is applied are meridians and well-known points in acupuncture. The stretchings and pressures remove tensions, sources of unbalanced energetic flows and inner troubles. Beyond this technique, there is an entire philosophy of life.

An acknowledged therapy

Thanks to its efficiency, Shiatsu is an official energetic medicine in Japan. It is one of the eight alternative approaches considered in Europe as a “non conventional medicine worthy of interest”.

A practice you must discover in the hands of the expert practitioners
of the French Institute for Shiatsu!
