In 2011, Cosplay went to conquer Europe with the European Cosplay Gathering!! And the contest keeps going on in 2012 with selections in 10 European countries and fireworks-like finals at Japan Expo 13th Impact!

Presentation

In July 2011, the European Cosplay Gathering, ECG for short, went through the finals of its first edition. This big European Cosplay contest is on again with a great tour of Europe during which Cosplayers are selected to take part in the finals set at Japan Expo in July 2012.

3 or 4 participants are chosen in each of the following 10 countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom.

The ECG allows the selected Cosplayers to parade on the biggest Cosplay stage in Europe, which is the main stage of Japan Expo, in front of 15.000 people. More than a mere Cosplay show, the ECG finals are a masterpiece!

Japan Expo is both the last step of the ECG with the finals of the contest and the beginning of the next edition with the French selections.
