APOIL, an association of video game fans, is a group of students whose aim is to promote video game culture for free.
Created on the campus of Paris-Sud university, APOIL proposes activities all year long. They have already organized four French Video Game University Championships in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2012. This free championship is made of several video game tournaments and the winner becomes the French video game university champion.
That the activities be free is important for APOIL who considers video games as synonyms for sharing and conviviality around a same gaming culture.
