What is an AMV?

An AMV or Anime Music Video is a video-clip made with extracts from Anime synchronized with music or a song.

This is a video montage, more or less complicated and creative, whose main purpose is to have fun while showing one’s talent and vision of some Anime or theme (fighting, emotion…).

If most video-clips are based on Anime, some also use video games or Live extracts, or pieces of Manga.

AMV France

AMV France is the largest French-speaking community of AMV makers!

The club is offering you all the necessary means of developing AMV-like musical video-clips in France. Either by organizing events such as competitions and meetings or by keeping close links with several partners, AMV France is a club where everyone can participate.

AMV France has been a partner of Japan Expo for years and regularly organizes international AMV contests whose winners are announced and rewarded during the festival.

The AMV who took part in the contest will be judged by a jury made of AMV France members and other guests. The contest is divided into two categories.

The public prize was very successful in the previous years and will be back: a two hour show at Japan Expo on a wide screen will allow all AMV enthusiasts and to those who want to discover it to see the participants and to vote for their favorites!
