On Saturday, the video game publisher has set fire to the video game stage with Nintendo for Kingdom Hearts 10th anniversary and the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XIV with exceptional guests.

From 2 to 4:30 pm, Square Enix hasn’t left the video game stage that remained overcrowded with fans. It was a real delight for gamers made of guests, surprises and awesome pictures.

For a start, the first part of the event was dedicated to Kingdom Hearts 10th anniversary. For the occasion, the series executive producer Shinji HASHIMOTO went on stage to share a retrospective of Kingdom Hearts games with the audience. He was soon joined by the composer Yoko SHIMOMURA with thunderous applause. To fill the fans with joy to the end, Shinji HASHIMOTO walked among the rows with an illustration drawn for Japan Expo by series director, Tetsuya NOMURA.

Then, it was Naoki YOSHIDA’s turn to present the game he’s directing, Final Fantasy XIV. This one is a MMORPG version of the famous series, playable since 2010. He announced the release of a 2.0 beta version for this winter, available for PC and PS3. On schedule, many novelties: a whole new map, a more instinctive fighting system, PVP (player versus player), short missions for casual gamers and new costumes.

The cherry on the cake: Julien MERCERON, back from E3, commented a video called Agni’s Philosophy, demonstrating the power of Luminous new graphics engine for Square Enix. The World Technology Director for Square Enix told us more details about this technological jewel with breathtaking designs that nonetheless will be soon available for all!
